How are they stored?
Stem Cells are stored at ultra low temperatures below freezing point indefinitely and the process is known as “Cryopreservation” .
Cryopreservation is the process of preserving cells at ultra low temperatures after which they can be revived & restored when needed. At this temperature all physiological activities of a cell are arrested including the processes that lead to death of a cell. Following this process stem cells can be preserved for lifetime and when needed they can be carefully thawed which assures maintenance of their viability.
